General School Description

Mosa Central Public School is located in a rural setting in the southwest corner of Middlesex County. The school was built in 1962 with an addition going on in 1972. It is a junior kindergarten to grade 8 school with an English first language background. We have a staff of 10 full time equivalent teachers. The staff members are dedicated to providing many co-curricular activities for the students including many house league and inter-school sports activities, chess and a very active drama club. We have a very active school council which takes an enthusiastic part in many school activities and provides money for the school through fund raising.

Mosa School Council
The Mosa School Council is a very active and supportive group. This group assists in making
decisions about the operation of our school. They meet approximately 7 times a year and act as
representatives of the parents and community at Mosa. Please consider joining this group. Our
goal for the 2007-2008 school year is to have at least one representative from each classroom on
Council. Help contribute to the education of your children. Parental involvement has a significant
effect on their achievement. Let's work together to continue to be "The Best School in the Valley!"

Measures of Student Achievement and Success

At Thames Valley, we believe that assessment and evaluation of student achievement are integral parts of the learning process. Information gathered through assessment and evaluation helps teachers to determine students' strengths and weaknesses in their achievement of the curriculum expectations. It also serves to guide teachers in adapting curriculum and instructional approaches to students' needs and in assessing the overall effectiveness of programs and classroom practices. A variety of methods are used to gauge student progress including: teacher observation, classroom tests, projects and other examples of student work. Information from the province-wide assessment is used, in conjunction with these other approaches to improve student achievement. For more information on our school's EQAO results, click here.
