Rural Education Strategy 

The following brief was approved by Trustees at a Special Meeting of the Board on Tuesday, June 3, for presentation to Dr. James Downey’s commission on the Ministry of Education’s Rural Education Strategy. The brief was submitted to Dr. Downey on Wednesday, June 4.

Dr. Downey’s commission will make recommendations to the Minister of Education on a strategic framework for the $50 million in special funding that the Ministry intends to devote to the support of education in remote, rural, and northern communities.
