I believe it is our responsibility as parents to educate our children in the best
way possible, intellectually, physically and spiritually. Our motto is "Our Students,
Our Future". We have an impressive assembly of young people in our communities and
they deserve to have their education protected and championed."
Jan Hunter has served as a TVDSB Trustee representing Middlesex since the Board was
established in 1998. Jan serves on numerous Board committees and is
the 2003 Vice Chairperson for the Thames Valley District School
Board.
Jan has lived in Ailsa Craig with her husband Allan for over 20 years. Their six
children were, and still are, the driving force behind her involvement in our public
school system.
Jan and her family are very active in their church and continue to volunteer frequently
at East Williams Memorial Public School. Jan also works full time as co-owner of their family
business.
Jan worked as a Registered Nurse before focussing her energies on raising a growing
family. Some of her achievements include being a member of the Community Police Steering
Committee, founding and directing the local Block Parents Association and being the
recipient of the Solicitor Generals Award for Crime Prevention. She has served on
the Board of Directors for the Ailsa Craig and Area Food Bank and Thrift Store.
