"I am very interested in program and equity issues. As an advocate for
special education, I have learned a great deal about the importance of true partnerships
between community and school. I look forward to strengthening the role the Board has to
play in these matters." Linda is one of two representatives from
Elgin County. First elected as a Trustee in 2000, she is a member of several committees
including:
- Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)
- Budget Advisory Committee
- Supervised Alternative Learning of Excused Pupils (SALEP)
- Ontario Public School Board Association (OPSBA) (alternate) Board Rep.
Linda has also been active in her community sitting on numerous boards and committees,
including:
- Board of Directors, Community Service Coordinator Network
- Past Chair, Provincial Demonstration School Council for Ontario
- Past Chair, Elgin County School Council Committee
- Past Chair, School Councils of Homedale, Forest Park
- Vice Chair, Arthur Voaden Secondary School Council
- Trainer for School Councils
