We are P.C.
- a positive, caring community where respect matters. The Prince
Charles staff continues to be committed to maintaining a nurturing
and challenging learning environment where all students can
achieve. We share the belief that academically successful,
well-rounded, active students will grow into responsible and
contributing adults.
Once again,
this year, students are offered a multitude of learning opportunities.
Literacy continues to be our primary focus - the Reading Challenge,
Literacy Nights, Red Maple and Silver Birch Reading Clubs,
our Science Fair, and monthly assemblies showcasing student
learning are a few examples of how we keep this priority front
and centre. Learning beyond the classroom also continues. Soccer,
volleyball, cross country, basketball, softball, floor hockey
teams and clubs perticipate within the school and community.
We have many performance groups - bands, choirs and dancers
- as well as successful Angel Tree campaigns, Jump Rope for
Heart, various Student Council activities organised year round.
Terry Fox Run gets us going in September while other events
such as Sports-a-thon and Fun Fair continue to keep us involved
and active.
A big thanks
to our outstanding staff for their personal touches, energy
and efforts shown every day - they make our school a unique
and special place to grow and learn together.
We continue
to be very proud of our School Council/Home and School Committee.
This group of dedicated volunteers continues to work tirelessly
to provide funds and extras throughout the entire year to make
Prince Charles a better place for students. We extend our thanks
to them for all their efforts.
