Although most Learning Co-ordinators have
a vast technical knowledge about computers, networks and all aspects
of Information Technology, it is not their primary role to assist
with technical issues. For that schools need to contact the Help Desk, their TSA, or the Group Leaders.
Learning Co-ordinators will however, assist
you with understanding software, curriculum expectations, and how
computer technology can be integrated into your teaching program.
They will also meet with you or your staff
to organize your school's ICT plan so you have the best possible
resources for the skills among your staff.
As well, they run and co-ordinate many computer workshops to assist teachers
with their computer skills and their understanding of how to best
integrate various pieces of software into your lesson plans. |
