with students in grades one to five during
Canadian Children's Book Week.
Canadian Children's Book Week is the single most
important national event celebrating Canadian children's
books and the importance of reading. Every November,
thousands of children and adults participate in Book Week
activities held across the country: in schools, in public
libraries, in bookstores, in community centres – wherever
there are people who care about children and the books
they read.

Guess what: You and your friends can make up your own skipping rhyme!
A Skipping Rhyme
for my friends at Ealing Public School

Skipping, skipping, what a feeling!
Spring is in the air at Ealing.
March through April into May,
Skipping, skipping every day.
One and two and three and four,
Jump the rope, hop in the door,
Five and six and seven and eight,
Not to early, not too late.
Skipping, skipping is the best,
Catch your breath and take a rest.

Best Wishes Always!
Patrick Douglas
